ANTON NELSON

OSAGE, IOWA – Anton Nelson, 81, died Monday evening at the Lutheran Retirement Center in Decorah. He had been ill more than three years and was hospitalized the last 11 monthS.

Funeral services are set tentatively for Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. R. M. Christensen will officiate. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery, with Champion Funeral Home in charge.

Born near St. Ansgar, Iowa, on July 12, 1883, he was the son of Mathias and Johanna Nelson. He lived in Mitchell County where he farmed until retiring to Osage to become a realtor. He was married April 10, 1907, to Randena Moen. She died in 1963.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. S. E. (Rena Jean) Tesch, Osage; two granddaughters, a great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Anna Fawvery, Austin, Minn.
