CADY, FORMER MITCHELL RESIDENT, DIES IN WEST

Mitchell – Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Cady received word of the death of their son, Dean Cady at his home at Long Beach, California from a paralytic stroke. He was born and grew to manhood in Mitchell, going west several years ago on account of poor health.

He leaves a wife and one son. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Lampman and two children came from Minneapolis to spend Thanksgiving at the parental F. D. Cady home.

Dean Vanderpoel Cady was born July 13, 1898 in Mitchell, Iowa (WWI Draft Registration Record). He was the son of Frederick Cady and Flora (Vanderpoel) Cady. He married Virginia Florence Ramey. They had a son born in California: Frederick Butler Cady born September 6, 1930 in LA County, California.
