Bugle Blows Taps September 26, 1926

The body of Byron Leighton, 87, well known Civil War veteran, will arrive early tomorrow morning from Portland, Main, and after a brief stop will be transferred at the Illinois Central depot for Osage, where burial will be Sunday at 2 p.m.

Several of his old comrades, members of the Robert Anderson post, G. A. R., will accompany the remains to Osage and assist in the military tributes at the grave.

Mr. Leighton had been active in Robert Anderson post for many years. He was in good health when he left early in July for a visit with his daughter in Maine.
