Bridegroom of Three Days Dies

OSAGE, IOWA - George Clements, 69, died at 6 a.m. Saturday at his home here at Third and Park streets where he and his bride, the former Pearl White, had spent just three days of wedded life.

Mr. Clements suffered a heart attack on his wedding night, the ceremony having been preformed at Faribualt, Minn., at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Deceased was born December 23, 1879, on a farm south of Osage, the son of Wade and Mary (Clark) Clements. On his parents' retirement he moved with them to Osage, where he spent the rest of his life.

He had been employed the last few years at the Gardner nursery, at the Cleveland Hotel and by Dr. W. A. Owen.

He was a member of the Universalist church.

His only immediate survivor is his widow. He was preceded in death by a half sister.

George Abner Clements died January 1, 1949.

Clements Rites
at Osage Tues.

Osage, Iowa — Funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion Funeral Home for George Clements, 69, bridegroom of three days, with the Rev. C. D. James in charge, and burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Clements died New Year's momng of a cerebral hemorrhage, following a heart attack on his wedding night. Tuesday evening, Dec. 28. The couple was married at Fairbault, Minnesota.

This was the first marriage for both the bride and groom, the bride, the former Pearl White, being several years the junior of her husband.

The only survivor is his widow and distant relatives. Mr. Clements was a farmer most of his life and had worked at odd jobs since coming to Osage.

Mrs. Clemets is an employee of the Marr Knitting mills.
