Peder Dock 1865—1950

Peder P. Dock, who passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 12, 1950, at his home in West Palm Beach, Florida, was born May 29, 1865, at Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, the son of Peder and Sinove Dock.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at St. Ansgar, Iowa, and united in marriage with Ella Bjork on May 15, 1889, at the home farm in Mona, Iowa.

In 1898, they moved to northern Minnesota and later to Enderlin, North Dakota, where Mr. Dock was engaged in the mercantile business. In 1928, the moved to West Palm Beach, where they since made their home.

Mr. Dock leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and two daughters, Mrs. J. M. Hall (Enid) and Mrs. Esther Baker of West Palm Beach, also two granddaughters, Mrs. L. A. Parsons of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Miss Elaine Baker of Jacksonville, Florida, one sister, Mrs. Rosa Farley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a brother, Server Dock of Aneta, North Dakota.

Preceding him in death were four children, Raymond, Palmer, Claude and Edna.

Short services were held Tuesday afternoon at West Palm Beach Chapel, Reverend Doller officiating, and at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 18, at the Mona Lutheran Church, Reverend Olaf A. Langehough officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Mona.
