PAT YOUNG, 71, ILLNESS VICTIM
Services of Retired Section Foreman at St. Ansgar Wednesday

St. Ansgar – Pat Young, 71, retired section foreman, died Saturday evening at the Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City, following a two weeks illness.

Mr. Young was born in a log cabin near Fairbanks and lived in Mitchell county 34 years and has been a resident of St. Ansgar for eight years.

Surviving are his widow and four children; Herbert and Ruth of St. Ansgar; Mrs. Clara Stedman, Mountain Lake, Minn.; and Winston of Austin, Minn.

Prayer service will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the house, with services following at the Methodist church, the Rev. W. F. Belling in charge.
Interment will be made in the East cemetery.

Note: Pat Young was the son of Samuel and Anna Young. He married Bertha Smith, the daughter of Cyrus Smith and Nancy (Jeffries) Smith.
According to the 1900 Census: Fairbank, Buchanan, Iowa; Patrick Youngs birth date was April 1872.
