CHARLES DUFFY HEART VICTIM

Man, 47, Dies at Riceville
While Visiting Family

Riceville – Charles Duffy Sr., 47, died suddenly of a heart attack shortly before midnight Monday.

He had spent his entire life in Riceville until a year and a half ago when he went to Des Moines where he worked at his trade of barbering.

He had come here to spend Christmas with his family and to make arrangements to move them to Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife and seven children, two sisters and brothers.

Charles Joseph Duffy was born October 13, 1892 to Henry William Duffy and Anna (Sloan) Duffy. He married Goldya Amelia “Goldie” Martin, the daughter of Albert Maitland Martin and Eva Jane Eastman.
