RICEVILLE, IOWA — Oliver "Mike" Pettitt, 88, of Riceville, died Monday (Dec. 14, 1998) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Riceville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edythe Hill and the Rev. Herschel Hawf officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville.

Mike was born on May 17, 1910, in Marshalltown.

Survivors include one son, Ellwood Pettitt, of Riceville; and one daughter, Donna Dawson, of Paullina; and one sister, Eleanor Olson, of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife**, two brothers and one sister.
