William Bittenbender

Funeral services for William B. Bittenbender were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. S. J. Heimbach, on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were conducted by the Reverend A. L. Agersbach with burial in the Constantine Cemetery.

William B. Bittenbender was born in Pennsylvania on July 15, 1851, and came to Michigan when a boy with his parents, Jacob and Mary Bittenbender.

He was married to Miss Emma J. Artley in 1881 and soon afterward they went to Osage, Iowa, where they made their home. Later they lived for a short time in Superior, Wisconsin and Wibeaux, Montana. Sometime ago they moved to Springfield, Ohio, to be near their son.

He is survived by his widow; a son, H. A. Bittenbender; three grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Heimbach; and a brother, Arthur W. Bittenbender, of Chicago.

While a resident of Michigan he was a member of the Lutheran Church.
