Carroll Johnson dies at 33; Rites Friday

LYLE, MINNESOTA — Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Chapel, Austin, for Carroll H. Johnson, 33. The Rev. Stanley Klemesrud will officiate. Burial will be in Peasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Johnson, he died Tuesday at St. Olaf Hospital after an illness of two years. He was born in Lyle on Oct. 17, 1928 and was married to Betty Bakke in Austin. They had lived in Lyle since their marriage.

Surviving are his wife, three children, Sammy, Kathleen and Cynthia; his parents, two brothers, his twin, Clair, Denver Colo.; Harold, Temple City Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Eva) Asper. LaMarada, Calif.; Mrs. Harold (Norma) Lundquist, Austin.
