Paul Potter

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 1988 at the United Congregational Church, Riceville, for Paul Potter, 88, of Riceville. The Reverend Shurmaine McAlpine and Reverend John Gilbert officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville. Mr. Potter died Wednesday, March 30, 1988 at a Riceville nursing home.

He was born May 15, 1899 in Riceville to Charles G. and Anna (McIlraye) Potter.

In 1936 he married Pearl Noble in Riceville.

Mr. Potter earned an electrical engineering degree from the University of Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl of Riceville; two sisters, Faith Field Hunt and Mildred Potter, both of Cresco; and a nephew.

His parents preceded him in death.
