Anna Anderson was born in Norway September 5, 1840. While yet quite young she came to this country and the family located near Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

In 1865, she was united in marriage to Alex Anderson. The family continued their residence in the town of Dodgeville until in July, 1869, when they removed to St. Ansgar. Mr. Anderson died twenty-one years ago.

Mrs. Anderson was the mother of nine children, three of whom are living, namely: Alfred Anderson of Buffalo, North Dakota; Mrs. Aug. Schroeder of St. Ansgar, and Susie Anderson, who was living with her mother.

Mrs. Anderson has resided in the building in which she died since July 21, 1869. She passed away on Sunday evening, October 12th, 1924, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 7 days.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 15th, Rev. C.S. Vang of Lyle officiating.
