MEYER, IOWA - Ila Mary Winkels, 79, of Meyer, died on Monday (Dec. 30, 2002) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, Cerro Gordo county, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meyer, Mitchell county, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meyer, Iowa. Ila died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.

Ila was born on August 7, 1923 in Wells, Minnesota to Andrew and Ingeborg (Hermanson) Jensen. She married Lambert Winkels on November 8, 1975.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister Eleanor Musser and one brother Don Jensen.

Survivors include her husband Lambert of Meyer, Iowa, one daughter Joan Gasset of Nisswa, Minnesota, three sons Jerry Brandt of Wells, Minnesota, Bob Brandt of Grand Marais, Minnesota and Steve Brandt, address unknown, four step-children, Katherine Williams of Oskaloosa, Virginia Boerjan of McIntire, Linda Taylor of Birmingham, Iowa, Keith Winkels of Meyer, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters Rosmund Miller of Wells, Minnesota and Carol Mast of Mason City, Iowa.
