GRAFTON, IOWA - George A. Pagel, 73, of rural Grafton, died Saturday (Nov. 8, 1991), at North Iowa Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 19, 1917 at St. Ansgar, Iowa, the son of Henry and Ida Groth Pagel. He married Luella Mae Boettcher on Dec. 13, 1942.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1991, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, Iowa, with Rev. Gregory Bjornstad officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Luella Pagel, of rural Grafton; five daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Phyllis) Ahlf, St. Ansgar, Mrs. Jerry (Janice) Hackbart, Mason City, Mrs. Don (Sherry) Wieland, Osage, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Skram, Portage, Mich., and Mrs. Michael (Jane) Connor, Clear Lake; one son, Larry Pagel, St. Cloud, Minn.; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Alfreida) Crooks, Kensett, Mrs. Dorothy Pahl, and Mrs. Elsie Rachut, both of St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
