ST. ANSGAR - Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, for Mrs. Wilmer P. (Agnes B.) Dieterich 71, of St. Ansgar, who died Sunday (Dec. 23, 1984) at an Austin, Minn., hospital.

Agnes Betty Struck is the daughter of Herman Henry Struck and Hannah Augusta Neumann Struck. She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on June 3, 1913.

Mrs. Dieterich was a retired secretary at Farm Mutual Insurance Agency, St. Ansgar.

The Rev. Norman E. Betke will officiate and burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Visitation will be from 3-8:30 p.m. today at Schoeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, and at the church prior to services.

Survivors include her husband, Wilmer P., St. Ansgar; two daughters, Mrs. David (Judith) Everds, Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. George (Jean) Currier, Red Wing, Minn.; two sons, Gerald, Jackson, Tenn., and Keith, St. Ansgar; eight grand-children, and three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Nadine) Seeger, Glenville, Minn., and Mrs. A.E. (Dorothy) Hegland and Mrs. Hans (Lucille) Hansen, both of Albert Lea, Minn.

Funeral Services
December 27 For
Agnes Dieterich

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilmer (Agnes) Dieterich, 71, were held Thursday, December 27 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Norman E. Betke officiating. Mrs. Dieterich died Sunday, December 23 as the result of a highway accident south of Austin, Minnesota.

Agnes B. Dieterich, the daughter of Herman Henry Struck and Hannah Augusta Neuman Struck, was born on June 3, 1913 in Freeborn County, Minnesota. She was baptized into the Christian faith on June 29, 1913 at the Lutheran church near Myrtle, Minnesota by the Rev. Staehling with Edward Struck, Conradine Virchou, and Bessie Hise as her sponsors.

She grew up in the rural Myrtle area and was instructed by Pastor Staehling and confirmed her baptismal vows on June 12, 1927. She attended the country school in rural Myrtle and was a graduate of the Albert Lea, Minnesota high school.

On December 11, 1935 she was united in holy matrimony to Wilmer Dieterich of St. Ansgar. This union was blessed with four children: two sons, Gerald and Keith; two daughters, Judith and Jean.

Mrs. Dieterich, in addition to her busy life as wife and mother, assisted her husband and served as secretary in their insurance business in St. Ansgar until her retirement.

She became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Ansgar in 1937 and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of the congregation and the Mary Circle. She had also been an active member of the WaTanYe Service Club to St. Ansgar for many years.

Mrs. Dieterich was suddenly called from this life on December 23 as the result of a traffic accident. She had attained the age of 71 years, six months and 20 days.

She leaves to mourn her sudden death her husband, Wilmer; son Gerald of Jackson, Tennessee; daughters, Judith (Mrs. David) Everds of Albert Lea, Minn.; Jean (Mrs. George) Currier of Red Wing, Minn.; son, Keith (Susan} of St. Ansgar, Also eight grandchildren: Susan Everds Antol, Andrew Dieterich, Michael Dieterich, Julie Dieterich, Bradley Currier, Gretchen Currier, Darren Dieterich and Derek Dieterich; three sisters: Nadine Seeger of Glenville, Minn.; Dorothy Hegland of Albert Lea, Minn.; Lucille Hansen of Albert Lea, Minn.; and a host of friends and the Christian congregation.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Martin Struck.

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Reverend Betke in charge of committal services.

Fatally Injured
in Accident
South of Austin

Mrs. Wilmer (Agnes) Dieterich of St. Ansgar died Sunday December 23 at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minnesota as the result of injuries sustained in two car collision six miles south of Austin on Highway 218.

The mishap occurred at 11:27 a.m. when Linda M. Stolzenberg of Richfield, Minnesota, driving a 1976 auto south, lost control on the icy highway. Her car spun around and slid crossways on the highway and was in collision with the 1980 car driven by Wilmer P. Dieterich of St. Ansgar traveling south.

There were no passengers in the Stolzenberg vehicle. All three persons in the two cars were taken by ambulance to St. Olaf Hospital, Austin for treatment.

Both vehicles involved in the accident were total losses, according to the report from the Minnesota Highway Patrol.
