Funeral services for James R. Davis, age 87, of Mason City, Iowa, and formerly of rural Orchard, Mitchell County, Iowa, were held on Friday, July 14, 2006, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa, with Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiating.

Interment was at the Grafton Cemetery, Worth County, Iowa. James passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the IOOF Home in Mason City.

He is survived by his son, Phillip Davis of Grafton and daughter, Karen (Steve) Gourley of Mason City; three grandchildren; step-mother Frances Davis; sister-in-law E. June Davis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
