Funeral services for Carl O. Leraaen, 81, of St. Ansgar, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center October 8, 1983, were held October 12, 1983 at the St. Ansgar United Methodist church with the Rev. Loyd Johnson officiating.

Carl O. Leraaen was born in St. Ansgar on February 19, 1902. He married Mary Curin England on December 23, 1941 and they made their home in St. Ansgar all their married life.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Geraldine) Zacharda of St. Ansgar, and Barbara Jensen Caledonia of Illinois; four grandchildren, Dennis, Lisa and Debra Jensen and Todd Zacharda; four brothers: Halvor, Knute, Gustav and Henry; also many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Leraaen was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bertina; and four grandchildren: Rozann, Douglas, Marijayn, and Debra Zacharda.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery with Rev. Johnson in charge of committal services.
