Orchard Man's Funeral Held On Monday Afternoon
Funeral services for Gulbrand Easted, who died Friday at the advanced age of 93 years and 5 months, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Osage Lutheran church in charge of pastor, the Rev. T. P. Solem. Interment was in the cemetery at Orchard.
Mr. Easted was born in Ostre Sildre, Valdres, Norway, his parents being Gulbrand Istad and Marit Seled. He was reared in the Lutheran faith and remained an active and conscientious member of the church. The date of his birth was Feb. 26, 1836.
His death occured at his home in Orchard after an illness of a few months duration.
Mr. Easted came to America in 1892, and with the exception of a few months spent in choosing a place to locate, had lived on his farm near Orchard.
The following near relatives survive; His wife, Mrs. Berit Easted; two daughters, Mrs. Thora Moore and Mrs. C. H. Newman, both of Orchard; four grandchildren, Dorothy, Bernard, Mary Ann, and Loyal Moore.
