When ten years old she came with her family to Osage, where she grew to womanhood.

On October 1, 1875, she was married to Gregg W. Northrup at Osage by Prof. Alva Brush. The young people lived on a farm near St. Ansgar the first year and then went to Nora Springs, where they made their home for thirty-four years, and the past eighteen years they had lived at Fulton, N.Y.

One child was born to them, Mrs. Guy Blakely of Albert Lea, Minn., who with the husband, survive.

Mrs. Northrup was one of a family of ten children, five sisters and four brothers, of whom the following survive; Mrs. Jennie Wright, Mrs. Alice Newberry of Osage; Mrs. Satira Conner of Rudd; Mrs. Nettie Kiley of Nora Springs, and Frank Barton of Olathe, Wash.

Mrs. Northrup united with the Baptist church in Nora Springs in 1895 and has lived a consistent
Christian life. She had been ill for nearly a year. Four months ago her daughter went to Fulton to care for her. Six weeks ago she was taken to a hospital, where she died from cancer.

Funeral services were conducted at Nora Springs by Rev. Daniel Reagan, and interment was in the Park cemetery in Nora Springs.
