Funeral Held For Mrs. Emily Sharley

Funeral services were held Tuesday for a former
Osage woman, Mrs. Emily Sharley, 82 who died Sunday in New Hampton. She had been ill for three years.

Burial was in the Osage cemetery.

Emily Lucy Maskell was born Aug. 2, 1886, the daughter of William J. and Emily L. Maskell, in
Cavenshire, England.

She was married to Frank Arthur Sharley Dec. 27, 1910 in Fargo, N.D. Her husband served with the Canadian army in World War 1. She lived in Osage until 20 years ago and for the past 10 years made her home with her daughter in New Hampton.

Her survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Grove (Ella) of New Hampton, three grandchildren; and one sister Eva in England.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, her parents and one sister.

NEW HAMPTON, IOWA — Services for Mrs. Emily Sharley, 82, who died Sunday morning at the New Hampton Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perry-Conway Funeral Home; burial 3:30 p.m. at Osage Cemetery.

Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Grove of New Hampton; a sister living in Sydney, Australia.
