OLDEST STACYVILLE LADY KILLED BY AN AUTOMOBILE
Mrs Mary May Struck Down Near Visitation Church
Mrs. Mary May, Stacyville's oldest resident died at 3:15 o'clock Sunday at her home in Stacyville of injuries received when she was struck by an automobile while on her way to church.
Mrs. May was crossing Broad street on her way to Visitation church when a car driven by William Wolf struck her. He had not seen Mrs. May step from the sidewalk. Mr. Wolf was taking his wife and mother to church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from Visitation church in charge of the Rev. Father Herbers.
Mrs. May would have been 90 years old in October. She had no children living, but is survived by five grandchildren; George and William Schumacher, Louis May, and Mrs. Anton Hemann, all of Stacyville and John May of Mason City.
