Barry Wilde

Barry Allen Wilde, age 59, of Edina, Minnesota and formerly of Osage, died peacefully at Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota, on Sunday March 11, 2018. He was surrounded by family and friends, when the Lord called him home.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1202 390th Street, west of Osage, with Pastor Roy Ott and Pastor David A. Werges officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship immediately following the service, in the church hall.

Barry was born September 27, 1958, in Osage, the son of Allen and Mariedna (Oetken) Wilde. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He attended Osage Schools, graduating in 1977, he then graduated from NIACC and Mankato, Minnesota Colleges. In 1978, Barry began working for Perkins Cake and Steak Restaurant in Mason City, starting as a dish washer, then kitchen manager and he then became an inspector of Perkins restaurants. He was the manager of a Mankato, Minnesota, Perkins and lastly an accountant for Perkins Area offices in Memphis, Tennessee and Edina, Minnesota. Working a total of 40 years, come May, for the Perkins Company.

Barry is survived by his parents, Allen and Mariedna Wilde; sister-in-law, Phyllis Wilde; nephew, Blair (Jody) Wilde; niece, Brittaney (Rick) Baughban; great niece, Taylor Rae Wilde; aunt, Phyllis Oetken; uncles, Richard (Sandy) Wilde and Charles Jones; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by, his brother, Brian Wilde in 2013; both maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts and uncles.
