Died August 23, 2017

Michael “Mick” Badker, age 59, of Osage, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa in Mason City, after a short battle with ALS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Osage with Pastor Gary Gonnerman officiating. Following the services, cremation will take place and inurnment will be at a later date in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Osage.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given to them, so that they can donate them to the ALS Association.

Mick was born June 24, 1958, in Osage, the son of George, Jr. and Delores (Baker) Badker. He attended schools in Osage and received his GED. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was very active. Mick enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with his family and friends.

Mick is survived by his mother, Delores Badker of Osage; sister, Kimberly Cooper of Bonifay, Florida; brother, Robert (Julie) Badker of Osage; sister, Kristi Badker of Osage; sister, Barbara Anderson of Bonifay, Florida; sister, Brenda (Bob) Minter of Belmond; many nieces and nephews.

Mick is preceded in death by his father, George Badker, Jr.; brother-in-law, Tom Cooper; nephew, John Cooper; future brother-in-law, J Marshall Korte.
