David Stephen Quindt

May 5, 1945 - July 28, 2017

David Stephen Quindt, 72, of Kingwood, Texas, died Friday, July 28, 2017 in Houston, Texas, of complications following aortic valve replacement surgery.

He was born May 5, 1945, in Osage, Iowa, and graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the US Navy serving from 1964-1967. He was stationed in Whidbey Island, Washington, spending most of his service in Vietnam.

He married Sue Hearn in 1969, moved to El Paso, TX later graduating from UTEP in 1977 with an Accounting degree and practiced as a CPA until his passing. He was a member of the Texas Society of CPA's and the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and a Houston Texans fan from their inception. He and Sue enjoyed spending time at their lake house with family and traveling, including taking cruises.

David is survived by his wife, Sue, of Kingwood, TX, and sons Bryan (Christine) of Sugarland, TX, and Brad (Tiffany) of Kingwood, TX. He lovingly left six grandchildren, all in the Houston area. He is also survived by sisters: Linda Cooper (George Struthers) of Adams, MN, JoAnn Acheson and Marcia Olson of Northwood, IA; and many special nieces and nephews.

David is interred in the Houston National (Veterans) Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Memorials may be made to a local American Legion or Veterans organization.
