RICEVILLE, IOWA — Clarice Violet Bauer, 90, of Riceville, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Riceville with Pastor Michael Parris officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery in rural McIntire.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, and again one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
Arrangements are with Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Clarice Bauer, 90, of Riceville, passes away on Saturday Jan. 14, 2017 at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center.
Clarice Violet Bauer was born in Bolan, Iowa, to Harold and Agnes Johnson DeMaris on September 7, 1926. She attended local schools.
She was united in marriage to Harold George Bauer on June 26, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa. Clarice and Harold farmed. Clarice loved to cook and her family and friends will long remember the large delicious meals she lovingly prepared. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with Harold.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny (Velma) Bauer of LeRoy, Minnesota and John (Robin) Bauer of Riceville; two daughters: Jeanie (Lee) Foster of Riceville and Linda (Leu) Winfield of LeRoy, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a brother Tom (Darlene) Beck of Ankeny, Iowa; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold in 2003, one sister, two great-grandsons, Devan Winfield and Kamron Bill.
