Mrs. O. Halverson Funeral Held Friday, January 2

Funeral services for Mrs. Olaves Halverson, 74, who died December 30, 1969, at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minnesota, were held Friday, January 2 at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, with the Rev. M. Johnson of Lyle officiating. Interment was in Woodbury Cemetery, west of Lyle, Minnesota.

Clara Martinson, daughter of Karelius and Inger Martinson, was born October 1, 1895 at Spicer, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Spicer.

On May 15, 1918 she was married to Olaves Halverson. They resided in Lyle throughout their married life.

Survivors are her husband, Olaves; four sons: Kenneth, Minneapolis; Clayton, Otisco, Minn.; Ronald and Paul of Lyle; two daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Norma) Newell, Austin, and Mrs. Dalton (Loris) Drennen, Minneapolis; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Austinson of Austin, Mrs. Gaylord (Alma) Nelson of Willmar; and Mrs. Wallace (Ada) Rutzer of Atwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons and a daughter; a sister, Ella Knutson, and two brothers, Jack & Charlie Martinson.
