Carl William Priem was born February 4, 1844 at Eichhof, also baptized and confirmed at that place. 1860 he came to this country with his parents, living at Leeds, Wis. In 1866 he came to Mitchell County, and made this his home ever since. In 1875 he was married to Miss Emelia Paeper. This union was blessed with 8 children; two of these have gone before. After ailing for over a year Mr. Priem died of uremic poisoning last Tuesday evening at 5 O'clock. The days of his pilgrimage were 70 years, 7 months and 4 days. He is survived by his widow, 5 sons, 1 daughter, and 6 grandchildren.

The remains were laid to rest in the Carpenter Cemetery after services had been conducted by Rev. Brammer of the G.L. Church at St. Ansgar.

CARL PRIEM DIED YESTERDAY

The people of St. Ansgar were greatly surprised at the news of Carl Priem's death yesterday afternoon. He was confined to his bed only a week. The disease of the kidneys and complications was the cause He was 70 years old. Funeral Friday at 10 o'clock. Obituary next week.
