EAST LINCOLN FARMER
DIES AT MASON CITY

Frank Bryant, 72, died at a Mason City hospital on August 30, according to word received by his sister-in-law, Mrs. C.W. Bryant, and other relatives.

Deceased was born January 29, 1871, the son of Wilford and Elizabeth Bryant of Waukon, Iowa. When he was a year old the family moved to this community.

Mr. Bryant farmed in East Lincoln township, Stillwater vicinity.

His marriage to May Carr took place in 1893. They were parents of three children: Mrs. Ed Pebbleman, Seattle, Washington, who passed away last March, Julia, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Wilferd Blais, of Great Falls, Montana, who survives. The wife and mother died in 1937.

Surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Amy Westfall, of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Ruby Bartlett, of Charles City, Mrs. Fred Miller, of Osage; a brother, John Bryant of Charles City, and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, Will and C.W. Bryant, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the Howardville church, and burial will be in the cemetery nearby.

Notes:

Frank's parents, Wilfred and Eliza Bryant are buried in Howardville Cemetery, Floyd county, Iowa. Supposedly Frank is also there, but maybe there is no tombstone. See IAGenWeb/Floyd county website cemetery listing for Howardville, and see Findagrave memorials for them, with photos of tombstones.
