IS DEAD, LONG
RESIDENT, OSAGE

John S. Schuyler, 83, died Tuesday morning at Glencoe, Illinois, where he had gone just three weeks ago to make his one with his daughter, Ruby Schuyler. Mr. Schuyler had been in failing health for a number of years, due to his advanced age. During the past year, he had been cared for at the home of Velma Solace.

Mr. Schuyler was born October 16, 1859, in New York state, and came to Lyle, Minnesota, when a young man. He worked on a farm for a time, then learned the barber trade. He barbered at Lyle, St. Ansgar, Mitchell and Osage. Then he became associated with the Equitable Life Insurance company of Iowa, and was very successful.

He married Suzanna Richards, of this county, about 54 years ago. To them were born two children, Ruby and George. The latter of Wilmett, Illinois. They survive; also two grandchildren, George Jr., and Barbara. Mrs. Schuyler, wife and mother, passed away seven years ago. A brother, Vincent Schuyler, of Youngstown, Ohio, also survive.

Funeral service is being held this afternoon, Thursday, at the Shelledy funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Hartong, pastor of the Methodist church, and burial will be in a cemetery near Lyle, Minnesota.

John and Suzannah Schuyler are both buried in Woodbury cemetery, west of Lyle, Minnesota, along with their daughter, Ruby.
