OSAGE BUSINESS MAN
DIES, INDEPENDENCEFrederick W. Moulton, 75, passed away at the sanitorium at Independence last Friday, where he had been a patient the past two weeks. Mr. Moulton had made his home for 10 months with his daughter, Frieda Moulton, at Jericho, Vermont.
Mr. Moulton was born in New York, and was married there. He came west as a young man and lived in several places. Before moving to Osage about 27 years ago, the family was located at Minneapolis, Minnesota.
For a long time Mr. Moulton was bookkeeper for the Superior Lumber company at the Jas. A. Smith general offices here in Osage. After he gave up his position there he became a partner of F.J. Cromer in the Cromer & Company store and they operated a variety store for a number of years.
After giving up his activities at the store, Mr. Moulton was clerk at the Cleveland Hotel until his advanced age and failing health prevented him working.
He is survived by Frieda Moulton, the daughter mentioned above, who is the last remaining member of his family. His wife and an infant son preceded him in death.
The body was shipped Tuesday by the Shelledy Funeral Home to Larrimore, New Hampshire, for burial beside is wife on the family lot.
