NAVY REPORTS RALPH
TURNER LOST AT SEA

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Turner of Mitchell have received word from the United States Navy that their son, Ralph Walton Turner, has been presumably lost at sea.

Ralph was 22 years old and had been in the merchant marine for more than a year. He had made a number of trips across the Atlantic, spending some time in England and Scotland. The navy report stated that he has just started on a trip out from the east coast when the accident occurred.

He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Turner of Osage, and a brother of Pvt. Allen Turner of the Coast Guard in California. He attended the Mitchell high school only a few years ago.
