L.O. GOLDEN DIES
AT VETS HOSPITAL
Leonard O. Golden, 39, a former resident of Stacyville, Iowa, and Lyle, Minnesota, died at the Veterans hospital at Hines, Illinois, on March 29, 1943.
He had been honorably discharged at Fort Lewis, Washington, on March 22, and returned to the home of his sister, Mrs. Myrtle Gilsmer, in Chicago. He was stricken with fever and taken to the Veterans Hospital at Hines, where he passed away.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. E. Golden, of Faribault, Minnesota; a brother, Ray, St. Cloud, Minnesota; and the sister mentioned, Mrs. Gilsmer, of Chicago.
Funeral services were held at Minneapolis, April 1, 1943, and interment was in the National cemetery at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, with full military honors.
