DIES, CLEAR LAKE

Henry N. Halvorson, 402 North Second St., Clear Lake, Iowa, died at a hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, last Friday morning, following a major operation performed a week ago. A blood clot is believed the cause of death.

Mr. Halverson was born at Lyle, Minnesota, November 21, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Halverson. The family moved to Clear Lake when he was a small boy.

Mr. Halvorson entered the bank at Clear Lake as cashier in 1917, and three years later was elected its president, continuing with the bank in that capacity until 1925, when the bank was consolidated with the First National Bank. Mr. Halvorson continued as president of the combined organization for a number of years.

Later he entered the field of insurance and was active in that business at the time of his death. He was a justice of the peace and secretary of the Clear Lake Federal Savings and Loan Association.

In 1903 Mr. Halvorson was married to Emma Hinz of Clear Lake. They have no children.

Besides his wife, Mr. Halvorson is survived by his brother, Albert, of St. Ansgar, and his sister, Mrs. L.A. White, of Los Angeles, California, and Miss Hattie Halverson, also of that place.
