John Rogers

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 3, 1982, for John Rogers, age 77, who died Thursday, April 1, 1982, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa. Rev. J. Roth officiated at the service. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John was a life long member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church. He was a retired farmer and had served on the Farm Service Board, the Coop Elevator board. and also as president of the Mitchell County Farm Bureau.

He had been a resident of the Faith Home in Osage for several years.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Minnie Rogers, an infant brother, and an infant great-granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Osage; one daughter, Mrs. David (Dorothy) Warner, Des Moines; four sons: Dean of Nevada, and John L., Allan and Lawrence all of Osage; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Bernard, Osage; and three sisters: Mrs. Harold (Erma) Schultheis, Osage; Mrs. Louis (Romana) Howe, Ramsey, Montana; and Mrs. Robert (Frances) Kleckner, St. Ansgar.
