Keith Sullivan, age 84, of Osage, Iowa, departed from this life peacefully at home on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.
Keith was born June 13, 1930, in Osage, Iowa, to Harold and Marie (Schweiger) Sullivan. He married Marlyn Groth on December 26, 1949, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Keith was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight. Keith served on several Holstein boards and was a former 4-H leader. Keith, Marlyn, and their son, Jim, spent many years wintering in Donna, Texas.
Keith is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marlyn of Osage; daughters, Linda (Al) Marquesen of Albia, Kathy (Larry) Vaira of Billings, Montana, Mary (Mike) Irigoin of Brockton, Montana; sons, Joe (Debbie) of Olympia, Washington, Bill of Ames, Dan (Diane) of Osage, Mike of Kasson, Minnesota, Tom (Donna) of Osage, Ed of Charles City; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Helen) and John (Carol); and sisters, Dorothy and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim; and brother, Jerry.
