Thomas "Tom" Koudelka

(Died October 25, 2014)

Thomas C. Koudelka, age 74, of Osage, died Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Faith Home in Osage.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in Charles City. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Tom was born February 12, 1940, in Cresco, the son of Clarence and Mary (Downs) Koudelka. Tom was united in marriage to Jane T. Gebel on June 22, 1963, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chester. He worked for White Farm in Charles City for 37 years. Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, gardening and flowers.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jane Koudelka of Osage; his four daughters, Connie (Terry) Ewing of New Hampton, Lisa Ross (fiancé, Jim Pitz) of Charles City, Linda Koudelka (special friend, Bob Carey) of Charles City and Christie (Bryan) Welter of Red Oak; seven grandchildren, Danielle (Eric) Coulter of La Porte City, Dustin and Tommy Burgart of New Hampton, Nikki (Corey) Hawke of Charles City, Kayla (Jon) Linde of Charles City, Jackson and Zoey Welter of Red Oak; five great-grandchildren, Carson, Elliott and Max Linde, McKynlee and Ryker Hawke; and sister, Mary Jane (Dave) Alberg of Sun City West, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Tom “Butch” Koudelka.
