A memorial service was held September 29, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, Minnesota, for Donna May Hyland, age 69. Her burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. She died Saturday evening, September 25, 1999 at Season's Hospice, Rochester, Minnesota.
Donna was born May 3, 1930, the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Arp) Koster in St. Ansgar, Iowa.
On July 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard V. Hyland at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, Minnesota.
Donna worked for Lohn's Red Owl in Hayfield and was a teacher's aid for 21 years in the Hayfield school system. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, WELCA, and volunteer Church Messenger. Donna enjoyed flowers, gardening, dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Hyland of Hayfield, Minnesota; two daughters, Debbie (Mrs. John) O'Connor of Albertville, Minnesota; and Roxanne (Mrs. Larry) Weinmann of Hayfield, Minnesota one brother, Darwin Koster of St. Ansgar; one sister, Neva Angell of Osage; four grandchildren, Amber and Haley Weinmann and Colin and Garret O'Connor and one step-grandson, Jeremy Mott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
