Julia had 2 older brothers, John and Andrew and four half-siblings: Albert, Helene, Bernt and Karl. Julia moved with her father and 2 brothers to Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa before 1870, her mother having died in Wisconsin.

She was confirmed at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on April 24, 1881.

Found in the 1870 & 1880 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:

1880: working as a household helper for the Levor Olson Lindelien family.

Julia married Hans Erickson on April 26, 1887 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Iowa.

Believe the couple had 4 daughters while living at Twin Lake, Hancock, Iowa:
Petronille "Nellie" (b March 15, 1888);
Randine (b August 17, 1889) and
Gustave Elise (b September 22, 1891, d January 24, 1987 Osage, Iowa);
(4th daughter's name unknown)

Found in the 1885 & 1895 censuses living at Hancock, Iowa:

Believe Julia died between 1895 - 1900 at Twin Lake, Hancock, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

See FindaGrave.com Memorial# 99444474.

(Note: I could not find the correct death date, RCLC Cemetery record says 1912 but that may be in error and the date of Julia's step-mother's death. Her husband, Hans is widowed in the 1900 census.)
