Roy N. Virchow, 69, of Brown Road, Laurel, died Friday, in Venice Memorial Hospital.

Born in St. Ansgar, Iowa, he came to this area from Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1957. He was formerly a crane operator with the Oliver Farm Equipment and served with that company for 27 years.

He is survived by his widow, Stella V. Virchow, Venice; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Allen, Beach Grove, Indiana; a brother, Lloyd Virchow, Cowell, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Julius Barta, Charles City, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Kephart, Marion, Iowa; and three grandchildren.

Services at Rawles Funeral Home Chapel will be at 10 a.m. Monday with Bishop William Whitney of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Sarasota, officiating.

Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Park.
