RITES HELD FOR STELLA MORISCHE
Funeral rites were held on March 4, 1981, for rural Osage woman, Mrs. Elmer Morische, 85, who died on February 28, 1981, at the White House of Osage Nursing Home. Rev. Kit Belk was in charge of the rites at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Osage, and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery near there.
Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.
Stella Decker was born on July 25, 1896, on the family farm near Stacyville, the daughter of George and Mary Spuhler Decker. She was baptized and confirmed at Union Presbyterian Church.
Elmer Morische and Stella Decker were united in marriage on February 19, 1920, and lived all their married life on a farm near Osage.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer; two sons, Gene of Nora Springs and Alan of Mason City; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Ruby Fordyce; her parents; two brothers, Rueben and Ralph Decker; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Pacey (Martha), and Lily in infancy.
