ALYS WALKER DIED;
MEMORIAL HELD

A memorial service for Alys Walker, 86, of Riceville was held February 28, 1981, at the Congregational Church in Riceville. Miss Walker died on February 25, 1981 at a nursing home in Charles City, Iowa. John Gilbert was in charge of the service and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.

Alys Walker was born on September 10, 1884, in Riceville, the daughter of Dr. Hugh Thomas Walker and his wife, Ella. Most of her lifetime was spent in Riceville.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
