FUNERAL HELD FOR
IVAN HODSON, 75
Funeral services were held Wednesday for a former Osage area resident, Ivan Hodson, 75, who died on August 9, 1071, at a nursing home in Forest city, Iowa. He had been in failing health since January 1970.
Rev. W. Gjerde, pastor of United Methodist church in Osage was in charge of the services at a funeral home in Forest City. Burial was in the cemetery there.
Ivan Dale Hodson was born on April 14, 1896, on a farm near Earlham, the son of Frank and Emma Fitz Hodson.
Mabel Grace Hanna and Ivan Hodson were married on October 10, 1917. They resided at Thompson until moving to Osage in 1964.
Surviving are his two sons, Dale of Osage and Ivan, Jr., of Farmington, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Nortbert Hogbin (Leora) of Kensett, and Mrs. Irvin Benjegerdes (Nita Mae) of Manly; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle of Ostrander, Minnesota, and Emmett of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Sternberg of Thompson and Mrs. John Grodahl of Linn Grove.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, and by his parents.
