GLENN OLSONFuneral services were held Saturday for an Osage farmer, Glenn Olson, 52, who died at his home on August 11, 1971, as the result of a heart attack. He had not been ill previously.
Rev. J. Quam, a former pastor, was in charge of the services at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Rock Creek cemetery. Full military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post 278 of Osage, and arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons Funeral Home.
Glenn Olson was born in Rock township, Mitchell county, Iowa, on April 6, 1919, the son of Gustav and Bertina Torblaa Olson. He received his education in the rural schools of Rock township.
During World War II he served with the army in the Philippines and Australia.
Doris Isaacs and Glenn Olson were married on November 3, 1945. They farmed southwest of Osage. He was a member of the American Legion in Osage, was an active member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church, and had served the 4-H clubs of the community.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Harms (Dorothy Jean) of Sumner; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Shoger (Gladys) of Osage.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
