During World War II he served with the army in the Philippines and Australia.

Doris Isaacs and Glenn Olson were married on November 3, 1945. They farmed southwest of Osage. He was a member of the American Legion in Osage, was an active member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church, and had served the 4-H clubs of the community.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Harms (Dorothy Jean) of Sumner; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Shoger (Gladys) of Osage.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
