Mae Viola Priem was born December 21, 1904 at Otranto, Mitchell, Iowa to Frederick Johannes Priem and Isabelle Marie Swain.

Found in the 1910 - 1920 censuses living on a farm at Otranto, Mitchell, Iowa:

1910: Fred J Priem 31, Isabelle Priem 33, Happy Priem 8, Mae Priem 5, Hazel Priem 11mos, Amelia Schultz 23, Herman Priem 19.

1915: Maye Priem age 10.

1920: Fred J Priem 40, Isabell Priem 43, Harvey Priem 18, Mae Priem 15,Hazel Priem 10, Lawrence Priem 7, Ruth Priem 1 yr 7 mos.

Mae married Martin A. Schroeder before 1927 at Mitchell Co, Iowa.

The couple had four children:
Lenore Fern (born July 29, 1927 Mitchell, Iowa, married Griffing, died December 29, 1997 San Diego, California); stillborn twins: Laura Mae and Harold Lavern (b/d March 11, 1931 Mitchell, Iowa) and Robert Dean (b June 17, 1932 Mitchell, Iowa, d December 4, 2008 St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa).

Family found in the 1930 - 1940 censuses living on a farm near St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa:

1930: Martin Schroeder 25, Mae Schroeder 25, Lenore Schroeder 2 yrs 11 mos.

1940: Martin A Schreider 35, Mae Schreider 35, Lenore Schreider 12, Robert Schreider 7, Alvin Stelter 39.

Mae Viola Priem Schroeder died May 20, 1974 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville, Mitchell, Iowa.
