Martin A. Schroeder was born 1904 near St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Albert Gustav Schroeder and Anna E. Kuckhahn, the youngest of their four children.

Martin married Mae Viola Priem at Mitchell, Iowa before 1930.

The couple had four children:
Lenore Fern (born July 29, 1927 St Ansgar, married a Griffing, died December 29, 1997 San Diego, California).

Laura Mae (twin, stillborn March 11, 1931 at St Ansgar, Iowa).

Harold Lavern (twin, stillborn March 11, 1931 at St Ansgar, Iowa).

Robert Dean (b June 17, 1932 St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa, d December 4, 2008 St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa).

Found in the 1910 - 1940 censuses living on a farm east of St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Albert Schroeder 49, Annie Schroeder 43, Adolf Schroeder 22, Mary Schroeder 21, Emma Schroeder 19, Martin Schroeder 5, Frederika Schroeder 79.

1915: Martin Schraeder 10.

1920: Albert Schroeder 59, Annie Schroeder 53, Martin Schroeder 15.

1930: Martin Schroeder 25, Mae Schroeder 25, Lenore Schroeder 2 yrs 11 mos. Martin was farming.

1940: Martin A Schreider 35, Mae Schreider 35, Lenore Schreider 12, Robert Schreider 7, Alvin Stelter 39.

Martin A Schroeder died July 1959 at Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville, Mitchell, Iowa.
