Renae Lynn Clausen, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clausen of rural Stacyville, lost her life last Wednesday in a two-car crash while she and her older brothers were en route to Rochester with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Clausen. The accident occurred in Minnesota on a rural road. They were going to see the circus.

Mrs. Clausen was still confined to St. Olaf Hospital in Austin with broken ribs. The boys, Marlin and Mark, suffered cuts and bruises and Mr. Clausen was not injured.

Funeral services were held on April 17, 1971, for Renae Clausen at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville. Rev. William Kamke, pastor, was in charge of the rites, and arrangements were by Schroeder and Houg of St. Ansgar. Burial was in the church cemetery.

OBITUARY

Renae Lynn Clausen was born on March 6, 1963, in Osage, the daughter of Richard and Marlene Krumheuer Clausen. She was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran in Toeterville on April 14, 1963, and was in the second grade in the St. Ansgar schools.

Surviving are her parents; three brothers, Marlin, Mark and Todd; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Clausen of St. Ansgar; two great-grandmothers, Mrs. Hannah Schwanke and Mrs. Jacob Clausen of St. Ansgar.

Note: Renae is buried next to her brother, Todd, who was born in 1970 and died in 2000.
