Funeral services were held Thursday, April 16, 1987, at Little Cedar Methodist Church, Little Cedar, for Mrs. Alvin (Myrtle) Schultz, 78, of rural Stacyville. She died on Monday, April 13, 1987 at her home. Burial was in the Little Cedar cemetery.
Mrs. Schultz was born on April 1, 1909 in Mitchell, Iowa, to Luther and Orpha (Hubbard) Woodiwiss. She was educated in the Mitchell schools and also attended schools in Sheldon where the family moved. In 1924 she returned to the Osage area and married Alvin Schultz on February 17, 1937 in Osage. They farmed in the McIntire and Bailey areas and in 1943 moved to their present farm near Stacyville where they continued to farm.
Mrs. Schultz was a member of the Little Cedar Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Merrill and one sister, Melba.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin of rural Stacyville; one son, Gary of rural Stacyville; and one sister, Mrs. Walter (Vilda) Zatochill of Owatonna, Minnesota.
