Funeral services were held on Friday, June 19, 1987, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, for Matie Hollatz Arzberger, 87, of Grafton, Iowa, who died on Monday, June 15, 1987 at the Manly Care Center. Rev. J. Fladland officiated, and burial was in the Grafton cemetery.
Mrs. Arzberger, the daughter of Julius and Ernestine (Zerck) Hollatz, was born on April 15, 1900 in Mitchell Township, Mitchell county, Iowa. She was educated in rural schools in the St. Ansgar and Grafton areas, and married Chester Arzberger on December 21, 1919 at Grafton. They farmed in Worth County for many years. Mr. Arzberger died in 1974.
She was also preceded in death by one son and three brothers.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Marge Arzberger of Plymouth; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosa Urbatch of Manly.
