SLETTEN, ERICKSON, CASSELL, AUCHTER

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 18, 1987 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, for Henry Sletten, 83, of Osage, Iowa, who died Monday, June 15, 1987 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Rev. J. Nesheim officiated, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Mr. Sletten was born September 14, 1903 in Stavanger, Norway, to Lars and Sanna (Erickson) Sletten. He came to the United States when he was 17 and worked on farms in the Clear Lake area.
On December3, 1927 he married Ruby Cassell. They lived in the Mason City and Osage areas. She died in 1970. He married Elfriede Auchter on August 31, 1971 and they lived in Osage.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and by a son.
Survivors include his wife, Elfriede of Osage; one daughter, Lucille During of Osage; two sons, Lyle of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Darrell of Osage; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lawrence in Norway.
