Douglas, age 66, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota died Saturday, October 15, 2011, at St, Mary's Hospital, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Douglas Hugh Hall was born November 4, l944, in Osage, Iowa the son of Hugh and Hilda (Hanson) Hall.

Douglas graduated from Riceville High School in Riceville, Iowa in l963, and attended North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa and Winona State College in Minnesota. He served in the Army for two years. For a time he lived in Blaine, Minnesota. Later Douglas moved to New York Mills, where he worked as a painter. Due to a motor vehicle accident he was forced to retire and moved back to Pelican Rapids to be near his parents.

Douglas played the guitar and was in a band. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a proud member of the NRA.

He is survived by his brother, Gary Hall (Sandra Williams), Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; stepdaughters: Kimberly LeRoy and Kelly Jensen, Minneapolis, Minnesota; nieces: Jennifer Hall and Sarah Hall, Columbus, Ohio; nephew: Christopher Hall, Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Hilda Hall; and a brother Richard Val Hall.
